The following social events are planned:

Tuesday, 17 April 2018: after the evening session conference participants are invited to a reception at Veniceat@Ca’ Foscari.

Thursday, 19 April 2018: speakers are invited for lunch to a reception in the “Casa della Contadinanza”, just in front of the Udine castle

Friday, 20 April 2018: speakers are invited for dinner in the Restaurant San Trovaso.

Excursion:

At the closure of the Aegaeum Conference in the afternoon of Saturday April 21st the conference participants have the possibility to make an excursion by boat to the islands of Torcello and Burano in the Venice lagoon.
The departure is planned at 3 pm from Riva degli Schiavoni (by the San Zaccaria bridge, just behind Piazza San Marco). The name of the boat is Silis. The return is scheduled at 8 pm.
The excursion includes the visit to the archaeological area and to the museum of Torcello with a guided tour by the archaeologist Diego Calaon (Ca’ Foscari University), and to the island of Burano, which is famous for its pastel painted houses and laces.
The cost of the excursion is 20 euros per person, to be paid at your arrival.

At Udine participants will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition on female figurines from prehistoric Europe "Donne, madri, dee", which is currently under way at the Civici Musei, in the very same building of the conference.
